About Rocky Mountain
Rocky Mountain National Park was established on January 26, 1915, covering 265,769 acres of the Colorado Rockies. The lowest points in the park are about 8,000 feet in elevation, while Longs Peak reaches to 14,259 feet. The Trail Ridge Road, which crosses the park, reaches a maximum elevation of 12,183 feet.
